Bomet Woman Arrested After Fatal Stabbing of Husband in Nightclub Incident

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly stabbing her husband to death with a broken beer bottle during a confrontation at a nightclub in Kapkwen trading centre, Bomet County

Bomet County Police Commandant Edward Ibwaga identified the suspect as Sharon Cherotich, who is accused of breaking a beer bottle and using its sharp edge to stab her husband, 36, in the neck

The victim suffered severe bleeding and died while being rushed to Tenwek Hospital

A bar attendant, Faith Chepngetich, popularly known as Tetio, told officers that chaos erupted moments after the stabbing, with some patrons attempting to confront the suspect. Cherotich allegedly fled the scene immediately

Detectives later tracked her down and arrested her at a hideout. The crime scene was processed, and several patrons recorded statements to assist with investigations

The body of the deceased was moved to the Tenwek Hospital mortuary as police continue their probe into the incident
