Kenya has issued a travel and safety advisory to citizens living in or transiting through the Middle East following escalating tensions in the region after reported attacks on Iran and retaliatory strikes

Mudavadi Urges Kenyans in Middle East to Exercise Caution Amid Iran–Israel Tensions
The ministry urged Kenyans residing in Iran, Israel, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, and neighboring areas to exercise extreme caution. Citizens were advised to avoid non-essential travel, especially near military installations and crowded public spaces, and to strictly follow instructions issued by local security authorities
Kenyans in the affected region were further encouraged to remain vigilant, monitor official communications from host governments, and stay alert to possible flight cancellations and airspace closures
The government also called on Kenyans who have not yet registered with their nearest Kenyan diplomatic mission to do so promptly to facilitate timely updates and emergency assistance if needed
Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi said the government is closely monitoring developments and remains in constant contact with Kenya’s diplomatic missions across the region. He assured citizens that further updates would be communicated through official government platforms as the situation evolves
