Body of Former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo Arrives at Lee Funeral Home

The body of former Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo has been received at Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi following a fatal road accident that claimed his life early Saturday morning
Jirongo, 64, died after being involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming bus at the Karai area along the Nakuru–Naivasha highway at around 3 a.m

According to a police report, the former legislator was driving a Mercedes-Benz vehicle from Nakuru towards Nairobi when he failed to keep to his lane and collided with a truck owned by Climax Company
He sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police officers visited the site and took the necessary action before transferring his body to Naivasha Sub-County Mortuary

The body was later moved to Nairobi, where family and friends gathered at Lee Funeral Home on Saturday
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing
