Migasha’s family says they were alerted shortly after the incident and rushed him to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, where doctors confirmed he had suffered multiple serious injuries, including fractured ribs, a broken leg, and chest injuries. He was placed on medication as the family lodged a report at Buruburu Police Station

Buruburu DCIO Simon Kirui confirmed that the suspect is a military officer, adding that police are handling the matter and are awaiting autopsy results to guide the next course of action in the investigation

Migasha’s mother, Stella Okinda, expressed frustration over what she described as a lack of progress in the case, claiming the family has cooperated fully with police but has not received the assistance they expected

The family later identified the suspect as the proprietor of the entertainment joint where the incident occurred. He has since been linked to two similar past incidents and is also accused of threatening the family after the attack. Ms. Okinda further alleged that the suspect took her son’s money and bag following the assault

Migasha later died from the injuries sustained during the beating, leaving his family devastated and calling for swift justice. His body remains at Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital as investigations continue

The family has now sought the intervention of Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mohamed Amin, who has confirmed receiving the complaint. Amin urged members of the public to report challenges they face with investigations through the Fichua kwa DCI hotline to ensure accountability and prompt action by law enforcement agencies
