In a statement issued on Tuesday, Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi confirmed that the Ministry had conducted a comprehensive review of the nation’s fuel stock and supply chain and found the situation to be stable
“As at today, the country has sufficient stocks to cover both the country and the region. We have scheduled imports for delivery up to the end of April 2026 and, therefore, as it stands, we are assured of security of supply,” the statement read

Wandayi reiterated that the government remains vigilant and is taking necessary steps to guarantee uninterrupted supply of petroleum products for both domestic consumption and regional demand
The Ministry pledged to continue updating the public on any changes affecting the country’s petroleum supply situation, seeking to calm anxieties as geopolitical tensions continue to unfold
