Family Seeks Justice After Man Shot Dead in Eastleigh
A family in Eastleigh, Nairobi, is appealing for justice following the fatal shooting of their 25-year-old relative, Abdirahim Abdullahi Ibrahim, an incident captured by nearby CCTV cameras. Abdirahim was meeting his girlfriend on Saturday night when an unknown assailant approached and shot him at close range.
In the CCTV footage, the assailant is seen firing at Abdirahim from point-blank range. His family shared with KEN LIVE that the bullet struck him just below the ear, exiting on the other side of his head. The attacker then stole Abdirahim’s phone and left his girlfriend, a waitress in a local restaurant, stranded at the scene.

The girlfriend reported the incident to Shauri Moyo Police Station, and the family later filed a report there as well. A postmortem conducted at the City Mortuary, requested by Shauri Moyo detectives, confirmed that Abdirahim succumbed to severe blood loss due to the gunshot wound.
Abdirahim will be laid to rest on Sunday at Lang’ata Cemetery. His family is urging police to act swiftly, hoping that the CCTV footage will help identify the assailant.
This tragic incident follows another disturbing case in which Hashim Dagane Muhumed, 24, is accused of murdering a family of three in Lavington, including a mother, her daughter, and niece. He is currently in police custody.
