Two Arrested in Nyali as Police Recover 250 Grammes of Heroin

Two suspects have been arrested in Nyali, Mombasa, after police recovered 250 grammes of heroin during an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the DCI said the raid followed credible intelligence linking the suspects to drug trafficking and child trafficking activities
The operation was carried out at Maweni Estate in Nyali, where officers searched a house believed to have been used to facilitate the illegal activities. During the search, detectives recovered three sachets of heroin

The suspects were identified as Amir Latf and Ruhman Abubakar
According to police, preliminary investigations suggest the two may be connected to trafficking networks operating across Mombasa, Malindi, and Nairobi
The DCI said the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue ahead of their arraignment in court

The agency noted that the arrests and recovery highlight its continued commitment to combating narcotics and human trafficking through intelligence-driven operations, including efforts to protect vulnerable children and dismantle organised criminal networks
