Wiper Party Tells Ruto to Stop Attacking Kalonzo, Calls President “Politically Cornered”

The Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) has come out in defense of its leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, following repeated attacks from President William Ruto

The clashes began after Kalonzo criticized Ruto’s ambitious development plans, prompting the president to label him a pessimist lacking authority to lecture on national development

In response, Wiper issued a statement on Friday, accusing Ruto of using Kalonzo as a “whipping boy” to distract Kenyans from holding his administration accountable

“Ruto knows what every Kenyan knows: his time is up. In desperation, he has unleashed propaganda to tarnish Kalonzo Musyoka’s integrity and the people’s trust,” the party said

Wiper further claimed that Ruto’s government has sabotaged national growth since 2022 and falsely claimed credit for projects initiated by others

The party cited the Kibwezi-Mutomo-Kitui-Bondoni road, originally launched by Kalonzo in 2011 as Vice President, as a case in point

The statement also accused Ruto of undermining key sectors including education and healthcare and alleged that public resources are being auctioned off to private interests without due process

Despite the attacks, Wiper insisted that Kalonzo’s integrity remains unshaken. “Ruto’s regime is a three-year disaster that shall end in 2027

The Wiper Patriotic Front, with our opposition partners, will anchor Kenya’s restoration,” the party said

Meanwhile, President Ruto continues to promote his Ksh 5 trillion “road to Singapore” development agenda, which Kalonzo has criticized as unrealistic and constitutionally flawed
