The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has secured a clean sweep in the by-elections held on Thursday, winning all three contested seats in Mbeere North Constituency and Kabras Ward

Evurori Ward: Duncan Muratia (UDA) was elected Member of County Assembly (MCA) with 7,853 votes, defeating Albert Muchira of the Democratic Party (DP), who garnered 1,940 votes

Muminji Ward: Peterson Njeru (UDA) emerged victorious with 3,201 votes, narrowly defeating Boniface Ngari of the DEB Party, who secured 2,232 votes

In Kabras Ward, UDA’s Elphas Shalakha won the MCA seat with 3,317 votes. He beat Bramwel Khaemba of the Democratic Congress Party (DCP), who came second with 2,640 votes, while George Musini of the National Economic Development Party (NEDP) trailed with 199 votes
