Several Motorists Arrested During NTSA Crackdown in Embu
The enforcement operation saw the arrest of intoxicated drivers, while several bodaboda riders were also detained for lacking riding licenses, insurance, having blinding lights, and modified exhaust systems

Embu, December 20, 2025 – Several motorists were arrested following a crackdown by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) in collaboration with traffic officers at the NTSA office in Embu on Friday night
The enforcement operation saw the arrest of intoxicated drivers, while several bodaboda riders were also detained for lacking riding licenses, insurance, having blinding lights, and modified exhaust systems
Additionally, unroadworthy vehicles and those with expired inspection certificates were flagged during the exercise

NTSA has announced that the crackdown will continue throughout the festive season and the back-to-school period in 2026
Those arrested are scheduled to appear in court on Monday
