One Dead, Eight Injured After City Shuttle Bus Crashes on Valley Road in Nairobi

One person has died and eight others were injured following a multiple-vehicle accident along Valley Road on Monday morning
The crash occurred after a City Shuttle bus reportedly lost control and rammed into several vehicles on the busy road. The bus, which was operating on the Kawangware route, was heading toward the Nairobi Central Business District when the accident happened
According to witnesses and passengers, the driver warned those on board that the bus had suffered a brake failure moments before the crash. The driver reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident
Police confirmed that a boda boda rider died at the scene after the motorcycle was struck during the collision. The rider’s passenger sustained severe injuries

Emergency responders and police officers quickly arrived at the site to carry out rescue operations. The injured victims were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment
Authorities have launched investigations into the incident as they search for the driver who escaped from the scene
