Molo Member of Parliament and National Assembly Finance Committee Chairman, Kuria Kimani, has strongly criticized former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for what he described as tribal and inflammatory remarks regarding the ongoing Grade 10 school placements

Kuria urged Gachagua to avoid interfering in education matters and instead embrace the principles of statesmanship if he genuinely cares about the welfare of Kenyans

He stressed that school placement is a national exercise based on merit and equity, not regional or ethnic considerations

Earlier this week, Gachagua reportedly called on school heads in the Central region to prioritize learners from the area during the ongoing Grade 10 placement, with students expected to report next week

The Molo legislator further appealed to leaders from the Central region to consider marginalized and underdeveloped areas, supporting President William Ruto’s agenda of promoting regional balance and inclusivity in national development
