In the race for the presidency are Peter Wanyama, Senior Counsel Charles Kanjama, and Mwaura Kabata. The contest has drawn significant attention within legal circles, with candidates outlining plans to strengthen the rule of law, safeguard advocates’ welfare and bolster the Society’s voice in national discourse

Campaigns officially concluded yesterday, clearing the path for today’s vote

The outcome of the elections is viewed as particularly significant as the country prepares for the general election next year. Observers note that the Society’s leadership will likely have considerable influence on public interest litigation, electoral oversight and governance matters in the lead-up to the polls
