Siakago, Mbeere North Voters turned out in force today at Siakago Polling Station, exercising their democratic right with courage and clarity. Officials on the ground emphasized that all voters are entitled to a safe and interference-free environment
Controversy erupted when an MCA from Nyeri, identified as Karuga, entered the polling station wearing full UDA party colors
Election rules prohibit campaigning inside polling centres, and the official was promptly removed, reinforcing that “the law is not optional today or ever”

Authorities also reported the presence of hired goons around the station. Election monitors and local leaders assured residents that intimidation tactics would not sway the vote
“The vote belongs to the people of Mbeere North, not outsiders, not party agents, and not those who think power places them above the law,” said a local official
