How Cledun Realtors Is Using Credit Financing to Unlock Property Ownership

Credit financing is emerging as a key growth driver in Kenya’s real estate market, with increasing numbers of buyers turning to structured payment plans to acquire land and property with ready title deeds.

Industry players say the model is unlocking access to property ownership for middle- and low-income earners who may not have immediate lump-sum capital, but can comfortably manage instalment-based payments.

Cledun Realtors says the approach has significantly boosted uptake of its developments, as clients prioritize security, documentation, and flexible payment options.

Cledun Realtors Chief Executive Officer Clement Waweru noted that the firm’s financing model is anchored on transparency and verified ownership, ensuring clients invest in secure and legally compliant properties.

“We understand that most clients are ready to own property but are constrained by upfront capital. Our financing model allows them to secure land with ready title deeds and pay gradually in a structured and transparent way,” said Waweru.

Managing Director Duncan Muiruri added that demand has grown steadily as confidence in credit-backed real estate continues to rise, particularly among first-time buyers and diaspora investors.

“Every project we offer under this model is fully documented with ready title deeds. This gives clients confidence that their investment is secure even as they complete payments over time,” said Muiruri.

The firm notes that demand has been particularly strong in satellite towns and emerging resort areas, where land remains relatively affordable and infrastructure development is accelerating.
