President Ruto to Launch Second Phase of NYOTA Youth Empowerment Programme in Eldoret
The event will take place at Eldoret Sports Club and will also serve as a fund disbursement exercise for youth who have successfully qualified under the programme

President William Ruto is set to launch the second phase of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Project today in Eldoret, marking a key milestone in the government’s efforts to empower young people through entrepreneurship
The event will take place at Eldoret Sports Club and will also serve as a fund disbursement exercise for youth who have successfully qualified under the programme
According to the Ministry of Cooperatives, about 50,000 beneficiaries are expected to receive Ksh22,000 each, which will be deposited directly into their NYOTA mobile wallets

An additional Ksh3,000 will be remitted to each beneficiary’s National Social Security Fund (NSSF) savings account
The disbursement will cover beneficiaries from Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Trans-Nzoia, Turkana and West Pokot counties

Further NYOTA disbursement events are scheduled to take place in Nakuru on January 9 and January 12, targeting beneficiaries from Nakuru, Narok, Bomet, Kericho, Baringo, Laikipia, Isiolo and Samburu counties
The NYOTA programme is a flagship government initiative aimed at promoting youth-led enterprises, enhancing financial inclusion and creating sustainable economic opportunities for young Kenyans
