Ten Killed in Horror Crash as Matatu Slams Into Trailer Near Gilgil

A tragic road accident has claimed the lives of ten people after a matatu traveling from Naivasha to Nakuru rammed into a stalled trailer at Kariandusi area near Gilgil.

According to police reports, the ill-fated matatu crashed into the stationary trailer along the busy highway, killing ten passengers on the spot. One survivor was rescued from the wreckage and rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The accident occurred at Kariandusi, a section of the road that has in the past been flagged as a blackspot due to frequent crashes involving heavy commercial vehicles and public transport.
