Six people have died and 46 others sustained injuries of varying severity after a bus collided with a trailer on the Londiani-Muhoroni road on Tuesday morning
Kericho County Police Commander James Ngetich confirmed that the accident occurred in the Tunnel area when a bus belonging to Uwezo Sacco rammed into the rear of a trailer under unclear circumstances. Both vehicles were traveling in the Kisumu direction at the time

Five passengers and the bus driver were pronounced dead at the scene, while 30 others with serious injuries were rushed to hospitals in the county, including Londiani and Fortenan hospitals
Thirteen sustained minor injuries, and several passengers escaped unharmed and were treated and discharged

Commander Ngetich said investigations had been launched to determine the cause of the crash and cautioned drivers to exercise care on the roads to prevent avoidable accidents
The wrecked vehicles were towed to Fortenan Police Station as authorities continue their inquiries
