President William Ruto has just arrived at the Mutumbu location in Gem, Siaya County, where a prayer and thanksgiving ceremony is being held for Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo.
Earlier in the day, President Ruto inaugurated the construction of a Level 4 Hospital in Urenga within the Ugenya Constituency and a Digital Hub in Mutumbu.
Accompanying the president are Cabinet Secretaries Susan Nakhumicha (Health), Eliud Owallo (Information, Communication, and Digital Economy), and Moses Kuria (Public Service), along with Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
Siaya’s deputy governor, William Oduol, is also in attendance.
Elected Members of Parliament present include National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Phelix Oduor (Lang’ata), David Ochieng’ (Lang’ata), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), and Caroli Omondi (Suba).
Other notable leaders in attendance comprise former governors Evans Kidero and Jack Ranguma, as well as Edick Anyanga, Charles Owino, Sylvance Osele, and Odoyo Owid.
