President Ruto hailed Bayo as “an extraordinary artist whose songs encouraged believers to remain steadfast even in the face of hardship.” He highlighted her hit song “11th Hour” as a timeless message of faith and endurance
“For over 15 years, Betty lifted spirits through music that spoke of resilience, renewal, and steadfast faith. Her voice may have fallen silent, but her ministry lives on in every heart she touched,” Ruto said

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua echoed similar sentiments, terming Bayo’s death a devastating loss to the nation and the creative industry
“Her remarkable talent and contribution through beautifully crafted lyrics and charity work touched many souls and transformed lives. I join the nation in mourning the loss of a legend,” he wrote on X
Gachagua extended condolences to Bayo’s family, praying for God’s comfort during the difficult period
