Nairobi Festival Returns to Uhuru Park for Three-Day Cultural Extravaganza

Nairobi City County is gearing up for a vibrant cultural celebration as the Nairobi Festival returns to Uhuru Park from December 12–14
The three-day event is expected to attract thousands of residents and visitors eager to celebrate the Jamhuri Day weekend through food, music, art, and diverse entertainment
Held under the theme “Experience the Vibe of the City,” this year’s edition will feature an expanded programme showcasing the best of Nairobi’s creativity

Attendees will enjoy the Nairobi Street Food Festival with popular local cuisines, electrifying DOBA performances, the Dunda Music Stage, live art installations, a kids’ zone, and nightly fireworks displays
A major highlight will be the 2025 BEBA Awards, hosted in partnership with FEDCO, set to bring together some of Nairobi’s most iconic nganyas and senkes for what is expected to be the biggest matatu exhibition ever held in the capital
The showcase featuring customized artwork, chrome finishes, LED lighting, and powerful sound systems will take place on December 12 between 4pm and 7pm

Governor Johnson Sakaja encouraged Nairobians to attend in large numbers, saying, “Tukutane Nairobi Festival hii Jamhuri Day weekend. Karibuni!”
To ensure accessibility for all, ticket prices remain at KSh 50 for children and KSh 100 for adults. Tickets can be purchased via USSD *647#, with limited gate sales also available. The event will be cashless
The festival grounds will be open daily from 10am until late, offering a family-friendly environment designed to showcase Nairobi’s cultural vibrancy while giving residents a memorable way to mark the Jamhuri Day weekend
