Tensions escalated at the Siakago Social Hall polling station during the Mbeere North by-elections after Democratic Party (DP) leader Justin Muturi directed the removal of Thuku Kiruga, an agent representing Leonard Wa Muthende

Kiruga was asked to leave for allegedly wearing United Democratic Alliance (UDA) colours inside the polling centre a clear breach of electoral rules that prohibit party-branded attire at voting stations

Muturi emphasized that the action was necessary to uphold election regulations
The incident caused a brief disruption in polling activities before security officers and IEBC officials intervened to restore order. Voting subsequently continued smoothly under close monitoring by authorities
