Tanzanian police have arrested Charles Onkuri Ongeta, a Kenyan–United States dual citizen, after he was allegedly found attempting to enter Tanzania with four CS M68 hand grenades
According to authorities, Onkuri, a 30-year-old sergeant serving in the U.S. military, was intercepted on November 16 at the Sirari One Stop Border Post while travelling from Kenya to Tanzania in a Land Cruiser

Police say the explosives are prohibited under Tanzanian arms ownership laws, noting that even with permission, he would not have been allowed to bring them into the country
