The High Court has issued an injunction stopping a wedding that was scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, 2025, at a residence in Karen, Nairobi
Court documents show that the matter was certified as urgent, with the judge noting that it involves a family dispute best resolved through negotiation or mediation
The court has also directed that the respondent be personally served for an inter partes mention set for today, December 5, at 3 p.m
A temporary injunction restrains the respondent, her agents, representatives, or anyone acting on her behalf from conducting, facilitating, or participating in the wedding ceremony of the applicant’s daughter pending further court directions

The orders follow a petition by Nairobi businessman Francis Julius Ogallo against his former wife, Gladys Ong’ayo Ogallo
Ogallo claims he was deliberately excluded from the wedding, causing him emotional distress and public humiliation
Through his lawyer, Danstan Omari, Ogallo argues that the exclusion amounts to emotional abuse under the Protection Against Domestic Violence Act
He further alleges that the respondent misrepresented his views on the choice of clergy, circulated false claims about him, and shared private communications to justify his exclusion

Ogallo also referenced similar humiliation during the wedding of their eldest daughter in 2021
While he does not oppose the wedding itself, he says his concerns about the clergy choice and past defamatory conduct led to his exclusion
In his affidavit, Ogallo revealed he has been reported to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations over alleged threats and defamation, which he denies. A summons dated November 12, 2025, requiring him to appear before the RCI Nairobi Area, was attached to the court papers
The High Court will provide further directions after the inter partes mention scheduled for later today
