Interior Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has urged leaders from the Nyanza region to stop imposing conditions on President William Ruto, saying the Head of State is already delivering development without coercion

Speaking on Sunday in Nyatike Sub-County, Omollo said residents of Nyanza do not require any written agreements with President Ruto to benefit from development projects, noting that the government is committed to serving all Kenyans equally

“What President Ruto is doing is economic justice, and he is doing it without any coercion. Let us not allow any of our leaders to force or impose conditions on the President. He is already doing what he promised and what he knows is in the best interest of the country,” Omollo said

The Interior PS added that President Ruto has continued to roll out development projects in the Nyanza region even in the absence of any formal agreement, demonstrating his willingness to work with the people of the region

Omollo further expressed confidence that Kenyans will judge President Ruto based on his development record, saying the ongoing projects will play a key role in the 2027 General Election

“Kenyans will judge leaders by what they are able to do for them,” he added

Similar sentiments were echoed by Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamitta, who called for an end to what he termed “unnecessary sideshows” that distract from development

Meanwhile, Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi urged Luo leaders to unite and work together in the interest of regional development
