High Court Grants ‘Mathe wa Ngara’ Ksh.500,000 Bond in Drug Case
The court further directed Kigunzu to report to the investigating officer every 30 days and warned her against committing any similar offence while out on bond
High Court Judge James Wakiaga has overturned an earlier ruling that denied bond to Nancy Kigunzu Indoveria, widely known as Mathe wa Ngara
In his decision, Justice Wakiaga granted her a bond of Ksh.500,000, accompanied by a surety of an equal amount
The court further directed Kigunzu to report to the investigating officer every 30 days and warned her against committing any similar offence while out on bond

Kigunzu had previously been denied bond by JKIA Magistrate Renee Kitangwa on September 14, 2024. Her co-accused, David Ochieng and Christopher Odipo, were, however, released on a Ksh.1 million bond with a matching surety
Represented by lawyers Sophie Nekesa and Danstan Omari, Kigunzu appealed the initial decision, assuring the court of her willingness to comply with all directives issued
