The programme, launched in December 2024 by Attorney General Dorcas Oduor, SC, in collaboration with senior government officials, seeks to address persistent gaps in service delivery, especially in remote and underserved areas
Speaking during the seventh edition of the initiative in Nyakach Sub-County, Kisumu County, Principal Secretary Ouma Oluga said Huduma Mashinani is designed as a last-mile social equity model to ensure no Kenyan is left behind due to lack of information or distance from government offices

Residents in Nyakach accessed a wide range of services, including birth certificate and national identity card registration, marriage registration, legal aid, passport applications, Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) services, medical services, Social Health Authority (SHA) registration, voter registration, and enrolment with the National Employment Authority
The outreach also featured public health sensitisation, with officials highlighting efforts to address a “triple burden” affecting young people teenage pregnancies, rising HIV infections among the youth, and gender-based violence
