Kenyan Ministry Websites Restored After Cyberattack, PS Omollo Warns Hackers of Legal Action

The Kenyan government has confirmed that a cyberattack affecting multiple ministry websites on Monday has been contained. The attack, claimed by a group identifying as “PCP@Kenya,” temporarily made several government sites inaccessible

“The situation has since been contained, and the systems are under continuous monitoring. Our focus is on building layered defences, improving readiness, and ensuring that any attempt is detected early, contained quickly, neutralized decisively, and its impact minimized,” PS Omollo said
He warned that the hacking incident violates Kenyan law and international conventions, including the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, the Kenya Information and Communications Act, and the Data Protection Act. “Individuals found culpable will face the full force of the law,” he added

Citizen Digital confirmed that the affected ministries included Interior, Health, Education, Environment, Energy, Labour, and Water. The hacked websites displayed messages such as “Access denied by PCP”, “We will rise again”, “White power worldwide”, and “14:88 Heil Hitler”
At the time of reporting, the Ministry of Energy and Environment websites had not yet been fully restored
