Bobi Wine Alleges Museveni’s Son Ordered Arrest of Kenyan Activists

Ugandan opposition leader and pop star Bobi Wine has claimed that Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo were detained for 39 days at Kasenyi Military Barracks on orders linked to President Museveni’s son, Chief of Defence Forces Muhoozi Kainerugaba, before being abandoned at the Kenya–Uganda border
According to Bobi Wine’s post on X, the activists were subjected to severe torture and intense interrogation over their mission in Uganda

“I have just spoken to them, and they told me they were being held by Museveni’s son at Kasenyi Military Barracks! They were interrogated about why they came to Uganda and attended our manifesto launch in Jinja,” Bobi Wine said

He criticized the Ugandan judiciary for seemingly justifying their detention, adding that Uganda’s regime is a “complete military dictatorship” whose influence is spreading to neighboring countries. “We all have a duty to FREE UGANDA from this despot, and the rest of East Africa will be free,” he added
Kenyan Foreign Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi also expressed concern over the activists’ disappearance, stating that nearly a month had passed without a formal response from the Ugandan government regarding their whereabouts
