2025 KCSE Results Released: Over 270,000 Students Secure Direct University Entry

The Ministry of Education has officially released the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results

During the results announcement at AIC Chebisas High School in Eldoret, Education CS Migos Ogamba confirmed that 993,226 candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE exams can now access their results online via the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) portal

CS Ogamba revealed that 270,715 candidates scored C+ and above, securing direct entry to university. A total of 507,131 candidates scored C- and above, up from 476,889 in 2024, while 634,082 candidates achieved D+ and above, compared to 605,774 last year

He explained that the candidates were graded using the recently reviewed grading system, which factors in Mathematics, the best-performed language among English, Kiswahili, or Kenyan Sign Language, and the best five other subjects

“As has been the case since the 2023 KCSE examination, the 2025 KCSE results reflect the updated grading system,” said Ogamba

How to Access Your KCSE Results:

  1. Visit https://results.knec.ac.ke or the KNEC website and click on KCSE results

  2. Enter your index number and at least one name

  3. Accept the privacy and access notice

  4. Click search to view your results
