The story of the king and the village donkey.
Shot at ViVa Gardens, Gatundu.

Once upon a time, there was a king who ruled over a prosperous kingdom. In a small village within this kingdom, there was a donkey that everyone loved. The donkey was well-known and played a role in village life, often helping farmers carry goods and making everyone smile with its gentle nature.

One day, however, the king visited the village and, for reasons known only to him, he ordered his guards to get rid of the donkey. This saddened the villagers deeply, but they had no choice but to obey the king’s order. As time went on, the villagers began to miss the donkey. To honor its memory, they started selling small tokens and trinkets representing the donkey. They created stories and songs about it, celebrating the impact the donkey had on their lives.

Travelers heard of the beloved donkey and came to the village to hear its story and buy these keepsakes. Merchants from neighboring lands began visiting the village to trade, and soon the village’s economy blossomed. With every story told and every trinket sold, the village grew wealthier. The donkey, once a simple part of daily life, had become a legend that brought prosperity. Ironically, it was the king’s command that led the village to riches, all thanks to the cherished memory of a humble donkey.
