Form Four Student, Accomplice Arrested Over Nyakach Robbery Spree

Police in Nyakach Sub-county have arrested two suspects, including a 20-year-old Form Four student, in connection with a series of robberies and break-ins that have recently rocked the area

According to police reports, the student  a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate at Ramula Odowa Secondary School  was apprehended during an intelligence-led operation carried out within the school premises

During the operation, officers recovered several suspected stolen items and a toy pistol believed to have been used in the crimes

Authorities say the duo is part of a gang behind a string of thefts across Nyabondo, Ndare Ramula, and Dirubi areas in Nyakach

Subsequent recovery operations at the suspects’ hideouts led to the seizure of assorted stolen property, including laptops, tablets, and the toy pistol. Police believe the items were stolen from Kabete Primary School, Kabete AIC Church, and several local business premises recently targeted by burglars

Crude weapons such as a crowbar and a panga were also recovered

The suspects and the recovered items are being held at Ogoro Police Station as investigations continue
