Nyanchoka, who already has a set of twins, expressed gratitude for the unexpected blessing. “I didn’t expect them to be four. The ultrasound showed only three. First twins, now quadruplets only God can do that,” she said with a laugh

Jubilant scenes unfolded at Nyanchwa Hospital in Kisii on Monday morning after Vane Nyanchoka Ontweka safely delivered quadruplets three boys and one girl in a rare and joyous event that has captured national attention.

The babies were named Raila, Amolo, Odinga, and Ida, in honor of Kenya’s late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga and his wife, Ida Odinga. The birth was via caesarean section, and both mother and newborns are now in stable condition

Hospital staff celebrated the successful delivery, describing it as a moment of hope and new life

“The mother faced some difficulties because of the combined weight of the four babies, but both she and the newborns are now stable,” said Dr. Maria Lyther, the hospital’s chief medical officer
