National Exams Enter Third Day Smoothly Despite Rains, Says PS Raymond Omollo
Speaking after opening an examination container at the Starehe Deputy County Commissioner’s office, Omollo said both the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) have proceeded smoothly since Monday.
He noted that while ongoing rains had affected road access in a few areas, contingency measures were in place to ensure timely delivery of examination materials.
“We had a case in Tana River yesterday which was quickly resolved. The short rains have just begun, but we expect to deliver all exams to schools on time,” Omollo stated.

He added that the government had put in place backup plans, including airlifting exam papers to remote areas if necessary, to prevent any disruption.
“This is not a serious concern that would compromise the integrity of the assessment,” he emphasized.
Omollo reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining exam integrity through enhanced coordination between security and administrative teams across the country.
“We have not had any major incidents worth worrying about, thanks to good collaboration and coordination between the ministries and local officials,” he said.
He further revealed that over 600 examination storage containers have been deployed across sub-counties to support smooth distribution and security operations.
