ODM candidate Harrison Kombe has conceded defeat in the Magarini by-election but sparked debate after accusing officials of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of bias during both the voting and tallying stages

Kombe, while accepting the outcome, argued that certain electoral officers acted unfairly and compromised the credibility of the poll
He urged the IEBC to ensure accountability and uphold transparency, saying voters deserved an impartial and trustworthy electoral process

The IEBC has yet to respond to Kombe’s allegations, and the official confirmation of the by-election results is still pending
