ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga has assured party members that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will not disintegrate following the passing of its founding leader, Raila Odinga

Speaking during the World Food event at Kendu Bay Show Ground, Governor Wanga emphasized the importance of unity and continuity within the party, urging members to remain steadfast in advancing Raila Odinga’s legacy

She confirmed that ODM’s 20th-anniversary celebrations will proceed as planned in Mombasa, symbolizing the party’s resilience and solidarity. Additionally, a memorial service will be held at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay next Wednesday to honor the late leader

Wanga acknowledged the appointment of Siaya Senator Oburu Oginga as the acting ODM Party Leader and expressed confidence in his leadership during this transition period

Following a Central Management Committee (CMC) meeting, ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna reaffirmed the party’s commitment to uphold Odinga’s ideals of unity and cooperation with the government

Sifuna announced that national memorial services will be held in various regions, beginning in Magarini, Kilifi County (November 2–3), and continuing in Homa Bay and Migori (November 5–6)

He added that the 20th-anniversary celebrations will run from November 14 to 16, accompanied by activities aimed at reinforcing unity, discipline, and ODM’s continued influence in shaping Kenya’s political future
