Nairobi Mother Fights Stage 4 Cancer While Caring for 9-Month-Old Baby

Kahawa West, Nairobi  Mwanasiti Nyakondo, a 25-year-old mother from Kahawa West, is bravely battling stage 4 cancer while caring for her nine-month-old baby

Her husband, Meshack, a manual labourer, struggles to meet the escalating costs of treatment and daily living expenses, leaving the family appealing to the public for support

Mwanasiti’s story, shared by family and friends, has touched many who have witnessed her endure months of pain, uncertainty, and financial strain

She was initially examined at Coast General Hospital and later referred to Kenyatta University Hospital for further diagnosis

After extensive tests confirmed the severity of her condition, she was transferred to the Texas Cancer Centre in Nairobi West for treatment

Despite the daily challenges, Mwanasiti remains hopeful and prayerful, determined to survive for her child

Her husband, described by friends as devoted and unwavering, balances work, hospital visits, and caring for their infant, all while struggling with the high cost of chemotherapy, specialized medication, and nutritional support
