Nyandarua West Sub-County Police Commander Zainab Barasa confirmed the incident, stating that investigations have been launched to identify and apprehend those responsible for what she described as a heinous crime. She noted that detectives are pursuing crucial leads and appealed to the public for patience as inquiries continue
Nyandarua Governor Dr. Kiarie Badilisha condemned the incident, terming it heartbreaking and unacceptable. He decried the rising cases of child abuse in the region and called for swift and thorough investigations to ensure justice for the victim and her family
The governor also urged parents and teachers to take extra precautions, including ensuring that children travel to and from school in groups, to help prevent similar tragedies
