The prices of super petrol, diesel and kerosene have dropped following the latest monthly review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA)
In the review released on Thursday, EPRA announced that the price of Super Petrol has been reduced by Sh2 per litre, while Diesel and Kerosene prices have each gone down by Sh1 per litre
As a result, motorists in Nairobi will now buy a litre of super petrol at Sh182.52, diesel at Sh170.47, and kerosene at Sh153.78
In Mombasa, super petrol will retail at Sh180.24 per litre, diesel at Sh167.19, and kerosene at Sh150.49

EPRA noted that the new prices are inclusive of the 16 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT), in line with the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and revised excise duty rates adjusted for inflation under Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020
The Authority attributed the reduction to a decline in the average landed cost of imported petroleum products
The landed cost of Super Petrol fell slightly by 0.10 per cent, from US$592.84 (Sh76,446.72) per cubic metre in November 2025 to US$592.24 (Sh76,369.35) per cubic metre in December 2025

The revised fuel prices will remain in effect until EPRA’s next monthly review, scheduled for February 14, 2026.
