Chaos Erupts as Raila Odinga’s Body Viewing Resumes at Kasarani Stadium

public viewing of the body of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga resumed at Kasarani Stadium after a brief disruption on Thursday afternoon.
Tension flared when thousands of Odinga’s supporters attempted to forcefully access the VIP area, where his body was being held for public viewing. The restless crowd, frustrated after long hours of waiting, began hurling chairs and stones at security officers manning the restricted section.
The chaos, which broke out shortly after 3:00 p.m., prompted police to fire warning shots in the air and deploy teargas canisters in an effort to restore order.
As a result, the stadium grounds were temporarily cleared, with reports indicating that at least two people were shot during the confrontation.
Despite the disruption, the viewing later continued under heightened security.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were President William Ruto, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, and Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.
