An Austrian national has been arrested in Diani, Kwale County, over the illegal possession of a firearm that allegedly caused fear among local residents
Police officers from Diani Police Station identified the suspect as 66-year-old Kruppik Tomasz, who is accused of unlawfully possessing the firearm for approximately six years under circumstances that are yet to be established
According to police reports, neighbours had raised concerns over the presence of the weapon, citing growing fear and insecurity in the area

The situation escalated after the suspect allegedly threatened another individual with the firearm, prompting police intervention
Tomasz was subsequently arrested and taken into custody, where he is currently being held at Diani Police Station
