The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) has confiscated bhang valued at approximately Ksh.2 million in Naivasha, arresting two suspects, including a notorious local drug trafficker
The drugs were recovered during an intelligence-led operation in which a multi-agency security team raided a suspected drug den. Authorities confirmed that both the prime suspect and an accomplice were taken into custody

NACADA officials said the operation uncovered cannabis sativa “meticulously packaged for distribution” in stones, tariffs, sacks, and rolls, pointing to a well-organized supply network
The suspects have been transferred to the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) Headquarters for further investigations and potential prosecution
The crackdown comes amid rising concern over drug distribution targeting youths during school holidays. NACADA CEO Dr. Anthony Omerikwa warned traffickers against exploiting the period
