IEBC Schedules By-Elections in Isiolo South, Mbeere North, and Malava for February 2026
According to a gazette notice, IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon confirmed that the by-elections will include the Isiolo South parliamentary seat, as well as Members of County Assembly (MCA) positions in Muminji and Evurore wards in Mbeere North constituency

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced that four by-elections will be held on February 26, 2026
According to a gazette notice, IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon confirmed that the by-elections will include the Isiolo South parliamentary seat, as well as Members of County Assembly (MCA) positions in Muminji and Evurore wards in Mbeere North constituency

In addition, a by-election for the West Kabras ward MCA seat in Malava constituency, Kakamega County, is also set for the same day

Chairperson Ethekon further announced the appointment of six Returning and Deputy Returning Officers to oversee the by-elections, with two officials designated for each county
The IEBC urged voters in the affected constituencies and wards to stay informed about the upcoming elections and ensure their voter registration details are up to date.
