Three people Arrested in Connection with the Murder of Narok Land Surveyor

Police have detained three individuals in relation to the brutal murder of a land surveyor outside his residence in Narok town last week.

Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde confirmed the arrests, stating that the trio is assisting authorities in locating additional suspects who may have been involved in the execution of Lawrence Nkamasiai.

While Masinde did not disclose the names of the three suspects, he suggested that a contentious land deal might be the motive behind Nkamasiai’s murder. He reiterated the commitment of the police to hold all individuals involved in the crime accountable.

Nkamasiai, whose life was tragically cut short on January 10, was laid to rest on Saturday at his home in Naikarra, Narok West Constituency.

The burial coincided with the restoration of normalcy in Narok town after a series of violent incidents linked to heightened insecurity and nocturnal killings by unidentified criminals.

Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has called for a security meeting to address various issues, including the division of the town into four security zones. This initiative aims to implement frequent police patrols to eliminate criminal gangs.
