Over speeding Miraa driver causes accident along Nairobi-Embu Highway

High-speed Miraa drivers transport khat to Nairobi, known for their ruthless driving on the roads. Today, one of these vehicles was involved in an accident with a saloon car along the Nairobi-Embu highway, In recent times, travelers on these roads have raised concerns about the dangerous behavior of Miraa pickups.

The transportation of Miraa, also known as khat, to Nairobi is often facilitated by drivers who are notorious for their high-speed and aggressive driving tactics. These drivers, motivated by tight schedules and the lucrative Miraa trade, navigate the roads with little regard for safety regulations or the well-being of other road users.

Unfortunately, this reckless behavior came to a head today when one of these Miraa pickups collided with a saloon car along the busy Nairobi-Embu highway. The accident occurred past Kimbimbi, resulting in damage to both vehicles and potential injuries to those involved.

One of the eye witnesses  Noted  “It is imperative that authorities take action to address these concerns and enforce stricter regulations on Miraa transporters to ensure the safety of all road users. Failure to do so not only jeopardizes the lives of individuals on the road but also undermines the overall integrity of road safety measures”.
