Government textbooks meant for a School in Nyamira found abandoned in Kaptagat Forest

Government textbooks meant for Junior Secondary School in Nyamira North and Nyamira South have been found abandoned in Kaptagat Forest along the Kaptagat Kaptarakwa Marum Road. The discovery, made by police from Keiyo South, including the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), has prompted an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unusual incident.

Approximately 500 boxes of textbooks were located, sparking concerns about the safety and security of educational resources in the region. Preliminary findings suggest a potential hijacking scenario where the perpetrators took control of the vehicle transporting the textbooks. Following the alleged hijacking, the hijackers left the educational materials by the roadside and absconded with the vehicle.

Authorities are actively pursuing leads to unravel the motives behind this occurrence, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety of educational materials in the area.
