The project was intended to enhance agricultural activities in Mang’u, Chania, and Githobokoni wards through irrigation and has been stagnant for almost a year.

The objective of the project was to channel water from Githobokoni river into local farms through pipes, enabling farmers to cultivate crops such as bananas for both the local market and export.

Carrying placards and twigs, the locals insisted on being addressed by county leaders. At the time of publication, county officers had not yet responded to the allegations.
